I'm looking to just keep using what has worked for me since 2005-6. ![]() Serato and Rane can try and reinvent the wheel all they want and have a bunch suckers buy into that. Nothing obsolete about SL-1 as far as I'm concerned. I mean, I wouldn't even mind paying a little for the updates to Serato, I just don't see the point in spending +500USD on something that does nothing new for me. I'm hopeful that there are a software companies out there who cares enough to keep the old boxes working with new OSs. However, to me their new products add absolutely nothing new to how I DJ and I guess in a year or two SL-2 wont get updates and I have buy another box every now and then. That's another way to look at it, I guess we can't expect them to keep on supporting their products for all enternity. How old is the SL1? It's a USB 1.1 device! I don't think Serato has done anything wrong here. Tech moves on and unsupported devices cease to work. They also stopped supporting Scratch Live once DJ supported the SL interfaces. Serato hasn't supported the SL1 since the SL2 came out.
